Big Gun Lands At
Georgina Military Museum
With the Help
of Peter Van Loan C1 Howitzer will Arrive
this Fall

Today, Peter
Van Loan, Member of Parliament for
York-Simcoe, announced that the Georgina
Military Museum will receive a C1 Howitzer.
The artillery piece will be the newest large
item Peter Van Loan has helped bring to the
Georgina Military Museum.
"It is a
great honour for me to help build the
collection." said Van Loan. "I believed that
large vehicles and equipment displayed on
the grounds would attract visitors to the
museum. I look forward to the arrival of the
C1 Howitzer."
Van Loan
worked with Defence Minister Peter Mackay on
last year's vehicle acquisitions from the
Canadian Armed Forces. Later this year, the
Howitzer will join the display.
