Van Loan Delivers More Environment Funding

East Gwillimbury to receive $97,500 in
federal funds

(Holland Landing, Ontario) -
Peter Van Loan, Member of Parliament for
York-Simcoe announced today that the Town of
East Gwillimbury will receive $97,500 from
the Community Adjustment Fund in Southern
Ontario for an environmental project to
install water meters.
This investment by the Federal Government
will stimulate the economy, protect the
environment and water resources, while at
the same time encouraging good conservation
practices.
"The Town of East Gwillimbury has had a long
history of leading on the environment; I am
thrilled our Government can support them in
continuing these objectives," said Peter Van
Loan.
These investments will create immediate
employment opportunities and support local
economies in communities throughout Southern
Ontario. The Community Adjustment Fund
is just one in a series of initiatives
introduced in the Government of Canada’s
Economic Action Plan designed to address the
short-term effects of the economic decline
on communities across Canada, while
preparing our communities for long-term
growth.
